The Medina County Fair will run through Sunday, August 4 this year, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, there’s still time. A family tradition for over 160 years now, the Medina County Fair is one of the top agricultural fairs in the state. It aims to emphasize the preservation of Medina County’s rich agricultural heritage and family traditions.

This annual event regularly draws more than 100,000 visitors each year, and features carnival rides, live music and entertainment, fun activities for the whole family and food. This year’s main event featured country music singer-songwriter Brantley Gilbert in concert. Other activities include a kiddie tractor pull, farm tractor pull, sheep shearing and sheep herding demonstrations, animal shows, karaoke contests, tug of war, games and a fireworks show.

Hours are from 9am to 8pm Friday and Saturday and from 6am to 10pm on Sunday. Fair admission prices range from $2 to $5. The Medina County Fairgrounds are located at 710 W. Smith Road, just inside the Medina City Limits, between US route 42 and Smith Road.
