Chicago, the longest-running American musical in the history of Broadway, is coming to Cleveland. Playing from Tuesday, January 7 through Sunday, January 12 at the Palace Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, Chicago tells the story of housewife and nightclub dancer Roxie Hart, who murders her lover after he threatens to leave her. In order to avoid conviction, she sets out to deceive the public, the media and even her rival cellmate, Velma Kelley, by hiring the slickest criminal lawyer in Chicago to transform her violent crime into a series of sensational newspaper headlines. Set in the decadent era of the 1920s, Chicago tells a mesmerizing tale of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery.

The show first opened on November 14, 1996 and received universal acclaim. It has won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Producers Barry and Fran Weissler have announced that award-winning John O’Hurley will be returning to reprise the role of Billy Flynn in the Cleveland show.

Ticket prices range from $10 to $75. Chicago is part of PlayhouseSquare’s U.S. Bank Star Performance Series. For more information, please visit www.playhousesquare.org.
