The 14th annual Cleveland Walk to Defeat ALS will take place on Sunday, September 29 at Progressive Field, located at 2401 Ontario Street in Cleveland. The ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter holds several fundraising events each year to raise awareness and generate funds that will help provide valuable services to people living with ALS. ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a debilitating disease that results in loss of muscle control.

Registration kicks off at 8:30am, and the 2.5 mile walk begins at 10am. Participants who raise a minimum of $75 will get an official Walk to Defeat ALS t-shirt. After the walk, food and festivities will begin. Interested participants may either walk as an individual to raise funds, join an existing team, or start a whole new team of walkers.
