The 14th annual Grapes & Ale event to benefit Our Lady of the Wayside will take place on Friday, June 28 from 7 to 10pm at Progressive Field in Cleveland. During the event, beer, wine and barbecue fuse together to make one winning combo for guests who want to support a good cause. For the bargain price of $50, visitors may sample a fine selection of wine, craft brews and barbecue as well as other summer fare from a number of Northeast Ohio chefs, brewers and vintners.
Participating restaurants and groups include 100th Bomb Group, Becker’s Bakery, Corleone’s, Famous Dave’s, Hot Sauce Williams, Mavis Winkle’s Irish Pub and The Wayside Grille.
Guests can also expect to sample from over 200 wines, and check out craft brews from Great Lakes Brewing Co., Pyramid Breweries, Blue Moon, Goose Island and Samuel Adams.
Special pre-event tastings will be held before the main event, include a private “Majic of Wine” Blind Tasting from 6 to 7pm. This includes The Best of Grapes wine selection, free parking and special amenities. “WKNR Craft Brew Tasting” will take place at the same time with similar perks and privileges.
Live entertainment, a silent auction and a raffle round up the list of the evening’s activities.
