Bring your families and pet dogs to the 14th annual Tom Madzy 5k Run/1 Mile Walk and Family Dog Walk to be held on Saturday, September 24.
The event will begin and end at the Madzy Tower behind Berea High School at 165 E Bagley Road.
Registration on race day is from 7 to 8:15am, while the race starts at 8:30. The top male and female runners as well as the top three males and females in different age divisions will receive awards.
The cost of the event is $15 for runners, $10 for walkers and free for canines.
Proceeds will go to the Madzy Fund that helps to pay the “participation fee” for student athletes at Berea High School and Roehm Middle School who cannot otherwise afford to pay such a fee. The fund also provides assistance to those in need who participate in the Berea Baseball Association and Lou Groza Football.
