The 16th Annual Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival returns to Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 20 from 11AM to 6Pm and from 12 to 5PM on Sunday, September 21. Each year, the Festival aims to celebrate the cultural and artistic diversity of Tremont and Greater Cleveland by promoting the cultural and artistic endeavors of its performance and visual artists. Visitors can expect to see fine art, beautiful jewelry and sculptures, children’s programs and activities, food concessionaires and live performances and musicians.
This weekend, the Festival is divided into four categories or program areas, namely: children’s hands-on arts and historical and educational projects; a community area with non-profit organizations presenting material about their mission and services; cultural food sales by Tremont churches and restaurants reflecting the ethnic diversity of the neighborhood; and sales of paintings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics and jewelry created by Tremont and Northeast Ohio artists. Artists who are accepted into the Festival through the jurying process are eligible for consideration by the jurors for the Festival’s top three prizes.
Admission to the Festival is free. Lincoln Park is located at 1208 Starkweather Avenue. Live music and dance performances will take place on a main stage located near Kenilworth Avenue between West 14th Street and West 11th Street, as well as on a stage sponsored by the Tremont Farmers’ Market near West 14th Street and Howard.
