The 19th Annual Holiday CircleFest is happening on Sunday, December 12 at University Circle in Cleveland. This event is a great way to kick off the holiday season, by experiencing the city’s cultural treasures free of charge.
More than a dozen of the area’s renowned museums, gardens, galleries, churches and schools will open their doors free of charge from 1 to 5:30pm, while offering an entire afternoon filled with fun activities, live music, delicious food and tons of shopping. Sights to look forward to include historic displays of holiday toys, a crooning Santa, live reindeer and the city’s best gingerbread house competition.
Outside, Wade Oval will be transformed into Cleveland’s very own version of Central Park, with free horse-drawn carriage rides, ice carving demonstrations and The Rink at Wade Oval, open from 1 to 7pm. The event will conclude on a dramatic note with The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Winter Lights Lantern Procession.
Wade Oval is located at 10820 East Boulevard in Cleveland. Free shuttle buses will be available every 10 to 15 minutes at various locations.
