21st Annual Berea Arts Fest on September 11

This year, expect around 70 fine and performing artists and special exhibitors to appear at the Berea Arts Fest to be held on September 11 at Coe Lake.

The annual festival, now on its 21st year, is a one-day event that runs from 10am to 5pm in historic Berea and features multi-arts. It also includes musicians, various community art projects and a fun family art park.

The festival is free and open to the public, no matter what the weather will be, and will have a very special interactive display to remember the events of September 11, 2001.

The Berea Arts Fest aims to “encourage involvement” in the arts by sponsoring and promoting activities and opportunities which foster creativity and enhance appreciation of the arts.

Art collectors will have the chance to purchase works for sale by local artists. There will also be demonstrating artists and an art raffle offering chances to win creative work donated by artists participating in the event. Performing artists will appear along the lake at several sites.

Artwork by students of all ages, the disabled and a Chalk Walk will also be highlighted at the festival.

This long-running annual event has consistently drawn crowds of up to 10,000 at each event since 2002, with over 150 community members participating as volunteers.
