Mapleside Farms is hosting its 41st Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14, at its Pumpkin Village. This is one of the largest festivals of its kind in the Midwest, and features a wide range of fun family activities, live entertainment and a delicious selection of apple-themed food.
This year, there will be multiple stages set at the venue featuring a variety of entertaining acts. Attractions for children include an enormous super slide, a Barnyard Petting Zoo featuring local animals, and amusing pig races ad duck races. Adults will enjoy the many demonstrations, including learning how to make apple butter in the Apple Butter Making demo, or how to create beautiful crafts with the Chainsaw Carving and Pottery demos. Visitors will also get a chance to ride the Mechanical Bull and check out the Antique Tractors that used to work on the farm.
Festival hours are from 10AM to 10PM on Saturday, and from 10AM to 6PM on Sunday. Admission is $12, with a discounted price of $6 for visitors 55 and older, and free admission for children 2 years old and under.
Mapleside Farms is a 100-acre fully functioning apple orchard located in Brunswick, Ohio.
