The eighth annual Cleveland Wine Festival will take place on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 at Voinovich Bicentennial Park in Downtown Cleveland. Presented by Giant Eagle, the festival celebrates wine, good food and music and great friends while offering a variety of wine tastings, education on food and wine pairings and cooking demonstrations. Set in a relaxing location on the scenic shores of Lake Erie, visitors will have the chance to taste more than 300 wines from all over the world, including home grown Ohio wines.
Visitors may interact first hand with wine makers and brand experts, learn about the exciting new varieties, expand their wine knowledge and discover new blends that appeal to their palates. Something else to look forward to are the signature dishes to be offered by some of the best restaurants in the area.
The Best of Belgium Tour by Stella Artois is back by popular demand, as well as special guest and Belgian Master Beer Sommelier Marc Stroobandt, who will return with entertaining interactive presentations. Stroobandt has travelled all over the world, teaching people about beer and food pairings, proper beer pouring techniques and the importance of using the right glassware.
Live music will be showcased on the Entertainment Stage throughout the two-day event. Tickets range from $29 to $35 and include a souvenir wine glass, ten tastings, a Festival Program, admission to food and wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, and the chance to purchase wine at a discount. Additional tasting coupons will be sold at during the festival. Designated Driver Tickets will also be available.
