Berea Animal Shelter Looking for Volunteers

Animal lovers in Strongsville who are looking to contribute to a good cause better take notice, as the Berea Animal Rescue Fund is looking for volunteers to help with many of its efforts.

They are looking for volunteers to serve as foster parents, cat monitors at the Strongsville or Westgate Petco stores, dog companions, feline friends, cat therapists working with shy or scared cats or in administrative efforts in fundraising, public relations or strategic planning to help build a new shelter. The Fund is also on the lookout for foster homes for kittens and moms with kittens, as well as for dogs, as these are badly needed.

The Fund will sponsor an informational meeting for volunteers explaining all volunteer opportunities. It is will be held on June 16 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the large conference room of the Berea Library at 7 Berea Commons. This meeting will introduce newcomers to the shelter and outline the many different ways one can help ARF animaals.

Anyone aged 18 years and above who are interested in learning how they can help homeless animals through volunteering are very much welcome to attend.

Interested parties may contact the Fund by emailing volunteer@bereaanimalrescue.com, visiting the Berea Animal Rescue website bereaanimalrescue.com and clicking on the “Get Involved” button at the top of the home page, or by calling (440) 234-2034.
