If you’ve ever wanted to experience what Christmas was like in the olden days, why not pay a visit to the Strongsville Historic Village on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9? From 2 to 5pm on those dates, the Strongsville Historical Society will be hosting Christmas in the Village.
The grounds and eight buildings that make up the Village will be decorated to the nines in a style covering the 150 years represented by the Village.
Visitors may drop in on the Clauses to tell Santa their wishes and enjoy refreshments served by Mrs. Claus, make gingerbread houses with Girl Scouts, check out the Model Railroad display, do some holiday shopping at the Olds General Store, and participate in an old-fashioned settler’s celebration in the Log Cabin with the Bristol Family.
The event is free of charge, though donations are always welcome to keep the Village running. Free parking will be provided. For more information or to learn more about the Strongsville Historic Village and Historical Society, please visit strongsville.org.
The Strongsville Historic Village is located at 13305 Pearl Road, just north of Royalton Road.
