The fourth annual Cleveland Beer Week kicks off today (Friday, October 19) with several Collaboration Kickoffs taking place simultaneously at different downtown and other nearby locations.
Cleveland Beer Week is a nine-day celebration craft brews, with both local breweries and national names participating in an almost bewildering number of activities and events planned at various Cleveland-area venues. The challenge for beer enthusiasts is to figure out which events to attend and where to enjoy a cold one.
Some of the highlights of the week include brew master Bill Covaleski of Victory Brewing Company making an appearance in town for a beer and food pairing. He will be at the Greenhouse Tavern, located at 2038 E 4th Street in Cleveland on Saturday, October 20; from 7 to 10pm. Tickets cost $45 for food only, and $65 for food and beer.
Arguably the biggest event of Beer Week is Brewzilla, a massive taste party which more than 70 brewers are a part of. There you will find an impressive and eclectic list of brews, from apricot wheat to a Trappist Ale. All beers can be found at Galleria in Erieview, Cleveland, on Saturday, October 27, from 6 to 10pm. General admission is $50 and includes tasting tickets, a t-shirt, food and a commemorative glass. VIP tickets cost $75.
