Cleveland Boutique Bridal Bazaar

The owners of Something White Bridal Boutique in Independence will be hosting a wedding showcase for the second year in a row. Boutique Bridal Bazaar will focus on unique local vendors who can offer brides an eclectic mix of both crafty and upscale options. Co-owner Karin Kurtz says that this year’s showcase will include an Etsy aisle that will highlight artists who use the online storefront.

She explains that a current trend among brides today is the “DIY vibe,” with wedding elements such as invitations and decor that look homemade. “A lot of brides don’t want DIY themselves, but they want that vibe,” she said. “They want to find people to make things for them, so it looks homemade but they didn’t have to slave away on it.”

Visitors can expect to meet out of the box entrepreneurs at the showcase, as well as typical wedding businesses. Brides are sure to find vendors who can help them put together the wedding of their dreams, whether they want a more artistic, off-beat vibe or a more traditional kind of wedding.

Some of the highlights of the event will include a crafting corner, where artsy brides can learn DIY projects for their weddings, and a Something White fashion show featuring former brides wearing gowns they actually bought from the store.

The Boutique Bridal Bazaar is from 12 to 4pm on Sunday, January 20 at SmARTspace inside the 78th Street Studios, located at 1305 West 80th Street in Cleveland. Tickets cost $5 online and $10 at the door. To purchase tickets online, please visit bridalbazaar.eventbrite.com.
