ClevelandGives, a new group that organizes fun and unique volunteering activities for young professionals in the city, will hold its inaugural event on Sunday, June 23 from 2 to 5pm at Community Greenhouse Partners located at 6527 Superior Ave. in Cleveland.
The event will feature a primer on urban farming (a concept that is becoming increasingly popular these days) and rotating gardening volunteer stations. Guests can also expect live music, food, beer and other beverages and a bonfire to cap off the event.
Tickets to the event cost $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event, and include drinks, snacks and the chance to give back to the community. Interested participants are requested to come in comfortable clothes suitable for gardening.
Community Greenhouse Partners is a sustainable urban farm that grows wholesome food year-round, which is then provided at low-cost to local communities. Their aim is to improve the personal health of the community as well as to generate training, mentoring and employment opportunities.
