Enjoy Happy Hour and good food and booze at the neighborhood bars and restaurants from 5 to 8:30PM, with “Taste of PlayhouseSquare” food and beverages available for purchase on East 14th Street. Enjoy live music on U.S. Bank Plaza (previously Star Plaza.)
From 8:30 to 9:30PM, enjoy a free live performance by Hot Chelle Rae on The University Hospitals Main Stage on Euclid Street. From 9:30PM onwards, be prepared for spectacular and dazzling surprises, as well as the breathtaking lighting ceremony.
From the days when the theaters were saved from demolition in the 1970s, PlayhouseSquare was envisioned as a vibrant, 24/7 destination. Following the renovation its historic theaters, the organization turned its attention to the development of the surrounding neighborhood. Over the last few years, PlayhouseSquare has become a dining destination. A partnership with the K&D Group has turned it into a place to call home through the fully-leased Residences at Hanna. With plans for dining and office and residential space realized, PlayhouseSquare has turned its focus to a long-held ambition: the creation of a stunning, iconic identity to position PlayhouseSquare as a vibrant destination now and for years to come.
