Great Lakes Theater will present one of Shakespeare’s most enduring and enchanting romantic comedies, As You Like It, at PlayhouseSquare’s Hanna Theatre from Friday, April 4 to Saturday, April 19. This much-beloved classic play is centered in the fertile Forest of Arden, where the heroine Rosalind seeks sanctuary after her uncle wrongfully banishes her. Her misfortune turns into a charming adventure full of comic twists and turns, as she meets some of the playwright’s most memorable characters, including the handsome and lovesick Orlando, and a host of other colorful personalities.
This production is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnershit with Arts Midwest.
The Hanna Theatre is located at PlayhouseSwaure, 2067 East 14th Street in Cleveland. Tickets range from $15 to $70, with a special student price of $13.
