Visit Berea from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, November 12, and jump start the holiday season.
The Downtown Berea Business Network will be presenting its annual Holiday Walk this weekend. Look for merchants displaying a special decal–they will have specials and activities in their stores.
Beverly Maxwell, owner of Naturally Gifts on the Commons, says, “We have a wonderful downtown area. Not every area around us has a downtown. We want to introduce people to what we have to offer in our great little community.”
Activities scheduled for the day include free holiday coffee at Caf Ah Roma at 38 W Bridge St, Parkway Kids GrandPrix at Parkway Auto Care at 137 Front St, face painting at Rosander Ice Cream Parlour and Candy Shoppe at 44 Front St, and temporary tattoos at The Shoppe at 138 Front St.
Special activities include Santa Claus from 11am to 3pm at Kidforce Collectibles, 224 Front St; free tours from 11am to 4pm of Mahler Museum & History Center, 118 E Bridge St; Lolley the Trolley free rides with several stops; make a Christmas craft and have a cup of cocoa from noon to 3pm at Berea Family Chiropractic Inc., 44 W Bagley Road; Magic by Merlin from 1-3pm, Mike’s Bar & Grille, 130 Front St. and Entertainment by John Kowalski, hot chocolate and cookies from 1-3pm, at Berea Lake Towers, 4 Berea Commons.
Visitors may drop off a new unwrapped toy or nonperishable food item at two locations, corner of Front Street and North Rocky River Drive and the Parkway Courtyard gazebo. These will be donated to Berea Welfare.
Maxwell enthusiastically invited the public to visit Berea during the Holiday Walk, saying, “It is a wonderful day to spend in Berea, lunch in one of our restaurants, shop and look around. Enjoy what Berea has to offer.”
