No need to go all the way to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras in style. Just about every bar in town will be celebrating Fat Tuesday in one way or another, even if only to serve up Hurricane drink specials.
To start you off, you can head on down to Paladar located at 28601 Chagrin Blvd., Suite 900, Woodmere. The Nuevo Latino cafe will be having a three-week Mardi Gras celebration that will culminate in a blowout bash on Tuesday. This means half-off on mojitos, caipirinhas and South American wines, free beads and masks, and live Latin bands playing from 8 to 11pm.
Meanwhile, the Grog Shop at 2785 Euclid Heights Blvd. in Cleveland Heights is offering $5 Hurricanes, free gumbo and a set by the Revolution Brass Band. The dance party, dubbed Funky Fat Tuesday, kicks off at 9pm and will showcase the talents of DJs Charles McGaw and MisterBradleyP.
