Made in the 216 kicks off this Friday in Cleveland

Made in the 216, a shopping extravaganza event, will take place from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4 in the Ohio City neighborhood in Cleveland. The event will feature entertainment and performances by local bands, food, drinks and the most stylish goods and products from local artists. The festivities kick off at 4pm on Friday in a renovated storefront located at 1810 West 25th Street on the corner of Jay Avenue and will go on till 10pm. It will continue at 10am the next day.

Made in the 216 is a shopping event and experience designed to promote the design community in Cleveland, and to support local artists and designers. This year’s event will feature more than 60 Cleveland-based businesses and offer a wide array of curated, locally-designed products ranging from clothing to jewellery and works of art. Food will be provided by area restaurants Barrio, Umami Moto and Touch, while Great Lakes Brewing Company will provide the drinks. Bands expected to perform include Very Knees, Sweet Gravy James, Cheap Clone, Extra Medium Pony, Sammy Slims, Uno Lady and Kid Tested.
