Metal and industrial rock musician Marilyn Manson will be performing at the House of Blues located at 308 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland on Wednesday, January 23. Manson will be in town on tour, promoting his latest album, “Born Villain,” his first since releasing “The High End of Low” in 2009 and since he parted ways with his former label, Interscope.
Now known as a “shock rocker” and for his outrageous and sometimes controversial antics on stage, Manson was born Brian Hugh Warner in Canton, Ohio. He was a music journalist before venturing into music, and has dabbled in film and television, as well as art and even video games.
Fans can expect to hear a different side to the rocker on Wednesday. In his own words, he describes the album as, “Not really sounding like any of my old records. In fact it sort of sounds like what I listened to before I made records.”
He goes on to explain that most of the songs on “Born Villain” are very rhythm-driven and bluesy.
Doors open at 7:30pm on Wednesday. Prices range from $55 to $79.50 and tickets are available on the House of Blues website or at the box office.
