In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 21, the Western Reserve Historical Society History Center and Research Library located at 10825 East Boulevard in Cleveland will be open to the public for free.
Visitors can check out the current exhibits, which include Tying the Knot: Cleveland Wedding Fashion and East vs. West: Mapping Cleveland and the Western Reserve. Other fun activities include A Fugitive’s Path: Escape on the Underground Railroad, which is a vignette featuring Hale Farm and Village Educators. Parents and kids can bond with a family-friendly all day activity called “I Want to Become,” or check out the Kidzibits Family Education Center. History enthusiasts can check out Starting Your Family History in the Research Library, and attend the Hay-McKinney House open house.
Again, the History Center and Research Library will have free admission for the day; however there will be a charge for special event parking.
The event will take place from 10am to 5pm on January 21.
