Master Gardeners of Cuyahoga hold seminar "Gardening through the Seasons"

Gardening season may be over for the year, but the master gardeners of Cuyahoga County are already setting their sights on the future. They will be holding a seminar called “Gardening through the Seasons” on Saturday, November 5 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Middleburg Heights.

The seminar is open to public, and promises loads of information from specialists on a wide range of topics including pests and pollination, urban gardening for food, the potential of multi-acre urban farms, sustainability and water conservation, and of course, how to grow really beautiful flowers.

The seminar will begin at 8:15am, opening with “Pollination–A Photographic Primer for Gardening Success,” by Judy Semroc and Larry Rosche of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Semroc says, “Pollinators have such a big impact on our environment and on our well-being. The dwindling supply of honeybees has awakened and pushed people, who otherwise might not have thought about it, to become more interested in the importance of pollination.”
