As part of the KeyBank Broadway Series, PlayhouseSquare will present Motown the Musical from Friday, October 10 to Friday, October 17. Based on a true story, Motown the Musical chronicles Motown founder Berry Gordy’s quest to fulfill the American dream, beginning with his journey from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul who is now known all over the world as the man who launched the successful careers of such iconic music icons as Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and many more. What started as one man’s story became everyone’s music and is now one of Broadway’s biggest musical hits, breaking several records during its run.
