Our Lady of the Wayside annual Grapes & Ale benefit in Cleveland

Our Lady of the Wayside, a local organization that helps individuals with mental and physical disabilities, is holding its annual Grapes & Ale event on Friday, July 13. Dubbed “the Hottest BBQ of the Summer,” the event will be held from 6:30 to 10pm at Progressive Field, located at 2401 Ontario Street in Cleveland. It will feature more than 200 wines to sample, the Market Pavilion Beer Garden, a silent auction, a raffle, and live entertainment. Best of all, visitors may wander throughout the ballpark, sampling great food provided by various area restaurants specializing in barbecue.

A $50 ticket to the event includes wine samplings, a souvenir wineglass, access to the Market Pavilion Beer Garden, and live entertainment. A $125 VIP ticket will get you access to a blind wine tasting from 6 to 7pm, as well as free parking and all other amenities. You may also choose to avail of a $20 designated-driver ticket, which includes soft drinks, food and other alcohol-free amenities.

John Lanigan of WMJI FM/105.7, Tim Richards of WQAL FM/104.1, Kenny Crumpton of WJW Channel 8, and Mark “Munch” Bishop of WKNR AM/850 will be hosting the event. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting homes and programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. This event is sponsored by Giant Eagle.
