April is Animal Cruelty Awareness Month, and to kick it off, PAWS Ohio will be holding a “Rally for Reform” on Monday, April 1 at 7:30am at Public Square in Downtown Cleveland.
The organization has a goal of forming an Alliance for Companion Animal Cruelty Reform across the entire state of Ohio. They envision a grassroots movement consisting of non-profit organizations in Ohio, shelters, adopters and anyone who is interested in campaigning for the reform of animal cruelty laws. Although the grassroots effort is still in its inception stage, PAWS Ohio is already looking for like-minded and passionate individuals who believe in uniting for the greater good.
Considered one of Ohio’s most reputable and long-standing cat and dog humane rescue groups, PAWS Ohio was founded in 1976 and has since remained dedicated to rescuing stray and/or abused cats and dogs in North eastern Ohio and placing them in loving, nurturing homes.
