Set in 1987 on the infamous Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, Rock of Ages is about a boy from South Detroit named Drew and small town girl Sherrie who both come to the city of angels to chase their dreams of making it big, falling in love in the process. Rock of Ages will get you all nostalgic as it takes you back in to when big bands with big egos and even bigger hair played face-melting guitar solos. This musical is a five-time Tony award nominee and features hit songs from iconic rock bands such as Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake and many more. Its hilarious, feel-good love story is told through such songs as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “We Built This City,” “The Final Countdown,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

As part of its U.S. Bank Star Performance Series, PlayhouseSquare presents Rock of Ages from Friday, January 24 to Saturday, January 25 at the Palace Theatre located at 1501 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. Tickets range from $10 to $70 and are available online at http://www.playhousesquare.org/default.asp?playhousesquare=58&objId=3988
