The 17th Annual Cinema at the Square, presented by Medical Mutual, will take place once again at the beautiful Connor Palace from Thursday, August 14 to Sunday, August 17. During this annual movie festival, some of the most popular films from Hollywood’s Golden Era of the 1930’s to the 1980’s are screened on an enormous 20 feet by 47 feet Hurley Super Glo projection screen, the biggest non-Imax screen in Ohio. Early birds may enjoy a nostalgic organ recital on PlayhouseSquare’s fully restored 1928 Kimball organ, as well as a variety of short fimls and classic cartoons before each movie. All tickets for Cinema at the Square cost $5.
This year’s Cinema at the Square movies are as follows: It Happened One Night, Caddyshack, Wizard of Oz, Roman Holiday, and African Queen.
