The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a popular children’s picture book written, illustrated and designed by Eric Carle. It tells the story of a caterpillar that eats his way through a wide variety of food before eventually turning into a butterfly. It has won several children’s literature awards as well as a major graphic design award and selling over 30 million copies worldwide. This month, PlayhouseSquare presents The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favorites, an entertaining puppet show featuring that very same hungry little caterpillar along with a host of other amusing puppet characters. Stories include the comic tale of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, the fanciful story of the Little Cloud, and the beautiful tale of the Mixed-Up Chameleon.
The show runs from Saturday, January 18 to Sunday, January 19 at PlayhouseSquare’s Ohio Theatre. Ticket prices range from $10 to $15. The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favorites is part of PlayhouseSquare’s Children’s Theater Series.
