Calling all fans of Harry Potter, if you didn’t get the chance to catch Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner’s show “Potted Potter, The Unauthorized Harry Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff” when it was in town at the beginning of the year, you’re in luck. The show is coming back to Cleveland this weekend as part of PlayhouseSquare’s U.S. Bank Star Performance Series.

Written and performed by two-time Olivier Award-nominated duo Clarkson and Turner, Potted Potter is a hilarious twist on the beloved children’s book series, condensing all seven novels into an action-packed 70-minute show reminiscent of Monty Python. The show has been applauded by critics and is a definite crowd-pleaser, appealing to both die-hard fans of the series as well as the uninitiated, and attracting children and adults alike.
Fans of the characters and universe brought to life by author J.K. Rowling will certainly enjoy the real life game of Quidditch featured in the show, as well as the good-naturedly irreverent humor. Potted Potter also features numerous costume changes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and of course, a large dose of magic. Even those unfamiliar with the book or movie series will appreciate the show’s humor and pure entertainment.

The critically-acclaimed show will run for a total of five shows from Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27 at PlayhouseSquare’s Ohio Theatre. Ticket prices range from $10 to $45 and each show runs for 70 minutes with no intermission. For tickets and the show’s schedule, please visit www.playhousesquare.org.
