The Cuyahoga County Public Library’s Strongsville branch will be having a special open house on Saturday, June 11 to kick off the 2011 Reading Program. The event will start at 2pm and end at 4pm. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is Read Around the World, and the program will run from June 4 to August 6.
The Library is inviting guests of all ages to stop by and enjoy the entertainment, refreshments and more.
Some things to look forward to on Saturday are a Bharathanatyam Indian Dance performance to be presented by local teen Mahima Venkatesh, a karate demonstration by Jeff Ellis’ International Karate Center, a performance by Yume Daiko Japanese Drumming group, activities for children, registration for the Summer Reading Game, refreshments and much more.
The program will be sponsored by the Friends of Strongsville Branch Library. Registration for the open house is not required, so everyone in the community is strongly encouraged to attend the event, especially parents who wish to cultivate a love for reading in their children.
