Round 2 of the 17th Annual Tri-C High School Rock Off is happening on Sunday, January 13 starting 3:30pm at the House of Blues located at 308 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. For the past 17 years, this event by Live Nation and Cuyahoga Community College has given aspiring rock stars in high school a chance to showcase music and talents. For some, this may mean the beginning of a successful career in music, but for most, the event is simply an opportunity to experience playing on a major stage and for a wider audience.
This year, a total of 61 bands made it to the semifinals. Three bands from each of the 6 semifinal rounds will make it to “The Final Exam” to be held on Saturday, February 9 at 4pm.
Tickets to each round of the semis are $10 for general admission, standing room only, and are available at the House of Blues box office or from the participating bands.
If you are a fan of live music or want to be inspired by talented young people reaching for their dreams, be sure to check this event out; some of these young rockers have serious talent and legitimate rock cred.
