Food trucks are gearing up once again for Cleveland’s Downtown Chow Down, which returns to Walnut Avenue at East 12th Street starting today. Food trucks will occupy the area from 11:30am to 1:30pm every Wednesday until September 26.
The trucks offer a wide range of culinary specialties, with the selection changing every week. Participating restaurants in the Walnut Wednesdays program include Angie’s Soul Cafe, CJ’s Italian Ice, Cracked Mobile Foods, Elise’s Crepes, Fired Up Taco Truck, Grumman’s Good Eats, JiBARO, Motor Mouth Food Truck, Nosh Box, StrEAT Mobile Bistro and StrEAT Sensations, Sweet Mobile Cupcakery, Umami Moto and Zydeco Bistro.
Diners can enjoy their truck-bought lunches at the recently restored Perk Plaza at Chester Commons. Last year’s Downtown Chow Down was a huge success, and this year promises to be just as big a hit. This year’s series is sponsored by the Ohio Savings Bank.
