Strongsville Build-A-Bear Workshop is now accepting nominations for its ninth annual Huggable Heroes program which honors young heroes in local communities.
Nominaions will be accepted throughout the country up to February 27. The Workshop is looking particularly for children who have given extraordinary service to their respective communities.
Nominees must be between the ages of eight and 18 in order to be eligible. Ten finalists will be selected as Huggable Heroes and win a trip to Build-A-Bear Workshop World Bearquarters in St. Louis.
Each Huggable Hero will also receive a $7,500 scholarship as well as $2,500 to donate to a charity of their choice.
More than 100 outstanding young people have been hailed as Huggable Heroes since 2004. The program has supported thousands of causes while championing the efforts of young people who are making a difference all over the country.
