Every year, the Outreach Department of the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music presents the Junior and Senior Youth Orchestras in concert.
The outreach program aims to showcase the work of exceptional young musicians in the region while complementing a student’s participation in school ensembles.
This year, violinist Francis Truong, a junior at Strongsville High School, will be one of the featured performers at the Baldwin-Wallace College Youth Orchestras Concert. The event will take place at 4pm on Sunday, March 11 at the Kulas Musical Arts Building located at 96 Front St. in Berea. The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
Members must have actively participated in the program for several years to be eligible to compete for a featured spot, which is a prestigious honor. Truong won the opportunity to perform as a featured musician at this year’s concert. His has chosen to perform the Winter movement from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” on the violin with the Senior Youth Orchestra.
