If you haven’t been to Strongsville’s Backyard Preserve lately, now would be a good time to pay a visit. The 38-acre garden and nature preserve is starting to come back to life with the sounds of birds chirping and spring blooms beginning to blossom.
The preserve, which is located behind the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Recreation & Senior Center next to Safety Town, was originally developed with a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. It features an outdoor amphitheater, beautiful foliage, wildflowers and a walking trail. It has served as a venue for many outdoor weddings and other events, and is maintained by volunteers from various businesses and organizations.
