The Great Big Home & Garden Expo kicks off Saturday

The Great Big Home & Garden Expo kicks off this Saturday at the International Exposition Center, with a little help from HGTV star Chip Wade, who hosts popular shows “Designed to Sell” and “Curb Appeal: The Block.”

Wade will be joined by other celebrities, including host of HGTV Canada shows Bryan Baeumler; fashion designer Christopher Straub; HGTV host Matt Fox; and Greater Cleveland chefs Rocco Whalen and Stefanie Paganini.

The expo, which will run from Saturday to Sunday, February 12, will feature about 650 home-related exhibitors. Whatever your home-related concern is–whether it’s a leaky roof or basement, or if you want to completely redecorate your home–you will most likely be able to find a specialist who can help.

This year’s Garden Showcase features “Classic Television Show Favorites” as its theme. Top local landscape design companies will create gardens inspired by popular TV shows such as “Cheers,” “Fantasy Island,” “The Flintstones” and “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

Creative Construction Solutions in Avon will provide affordable renovation ideas and demonstrate energy-efficiency trends through a 2,400-square-foot Idea Home. The audiovisual Dream Home at the Home Builders Association Pavilion will feature an interactive mobile display measuring 53 feet that will showcase new energy-efficient products and the latest in home-entertainment technology.

For visitors with children, Playground World’s KidZone will feature a fully enclosed trampoline.

The expo kicks off at 10am this Saturday. Ticket’s are between $5 to $14 and can be purchased online, at AAA or at participating Home Depots.
