Country singer Tim McGraw has sold 40 million albums, compiled 32 No. 1 singles, starred in critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies, and is happily married to the beautiful award-winning singer Faith Hill, with whom he has two daughters.
McGraw will come to the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on Friday, August 12, for a stop of his “Emotional Traffic” Tour.
His album of the same name is currently still unreleased due to legal issues, but one of the songs on it, “Felt Good On My Lips”, has already become a hit, thanks to the fact that it was included on a compilation CD released last September and entitled “No. 1s”. That song, as well as two others on the album, namely “Right Back at Ya” and “Better Than I Used to Be” will be part of the tour’s set list.
According to McGraw, “Better Than I Used to Be” is “one of the best songs I’ve ever recorded and certainly one of the best records we’ve ever made,” while “Right Back at Ya” is a great summertime rock single with “a little bit of a 70’s feel to it.”
The album may be in record label limbo, but fans will surely enjoy hearing those cuts from it, as well as many of McGraw’s other hits.
The show begins at 7pm on Friday, with Luke Bryan and The Band Perry as openers. Tickets range from $29 to $75.50 plus fees.
