For all the fashionistas and stylistas in Cleveland, here is a rundown of some of the trunk shows and style events happening this month:
Tabletops and Trifles, a specialty sale featuring vintage clothing, house wares and collectibles is happening this weekend at Nicholson House at 13335 Detroit Ave, Lakewood. Drop by from 1 to 7pm on Friday and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. Proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Lakewood Historical Society.
Local designer Anne van Hauwaert and internationally-recognized French designer Fred Sabatier will be having dual trunk shows featuring their clothes. Van Hauwaert will be showcasing her spring/summer jackets, while Sabatier’s collection features different women’s wear pieces. Shows run Friday through Saturday, April 21 at the Anne van H. Boutique located at 2026 Murray Hill Road in Cleveland. Hours are from 10am to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 6pm on Saturday, noon to 5pm on Sunday, and 10am to 6pm from Monday to Thursday.
Akron-based makeup company GlamNatural is kicking off the opening of its group exhibition, “The Art of a Makeup Revolution,” with a gala at the We Gallery in Akron on Saturday. The event starts at 7pm and will include free wine, organic pastries, live music and two contributing artists creating live installations. The exhibit will feature original works from 27 local and national artists. All art is for sale, and 10 percent of the proceeds will go to Stewart’s Caring Place, a cancer wellness center in Fairlawn.
