There will be a White Elephant Sale (otherwise known as a giant garage sale) at the Ehrnfelt Senior Center this week. Visitors can drop by from 9am to 5pm on Thursday, February 2 and 9am to 12pm on Friday, February 3.
Residents and Senior Center members may donate items to sell. These iinclude toys, books, puzzles, glassware, jewelry, kitchen appliance and more. Clothes will not be accepted or sold.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit Senior Center programming.
Friday is the last day to purchase tickets for the Go Red for Women Tea Party on Wednesday, February 8 at 11am. The Southwest General Health Center will be hosting the event, which will include lunch and a heart healthy cooking demo from Dr. David Lash.
The event will be held at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Tickets cost from $8 to $10 depending on each guest’s status as a recreation center member.
Meanwhile, dads with young daughters can spend an evening dancing and bonding over food and fun at the Ehrnfelt Recreation on Saturday, February 11 from 7pm to 9pm.
The event is for girls aged six to 12 and their fathers, and tickets range from $9 to $13 depending on each guest’s status as a recreation center member. Tickets may be purchased at the recreation center’s front desk.
