Wallace Lake in Berea open for swimming

Summer has officially arrived at Wallace Lake in Berea. With the warm weather setting in, the lake will be open for swimming daily starting Saturday, June 2 through August 12, so long as the weather is good. Lifeguards will be on duty every day from 11am to 7pm.

Swimming is not the only activity you can enjoy at the lake. Paddleboat and kayak rentals are also available, and a cruise-in movie will be shown at 8pm on Friday, June 22. Amenities at the lake include a concession stand, picnic tables, grills, fishing and ice-fishing area, restrooms and parking.

Visitors to Wallace Lake can also enjoy good food and tasty treats at the Quarry Rock Cafe, open from 1 to 7pm daily. A wide variety of snacks and beverages is available here, including novelty food items and Toft’s hand dipped soft serve ice cream.

Wallace Lake is part of Cleveland Metroparks and is located just off the Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in Berea.
