West 65th St screens "Miracle on 34th Street"

Cleveland’s Capitol Theatre on 1390 West 65th St will be showing the 1947 Christmas classic “Miracle on 34th Street” starring Natalie Wood on Sunday, December 18 at 10am. Admission is $5, but children 10 years and under who bring a letter to Santa will get in free. Remember to save your ticket stub to get a discount on an after-movie brunch at Luxe Kitchen & Lounge, Latitude 41 N, Reddstone or Stone Mad Pub, all located nearby.

Also playing on Sunday is “Arthur Christmas,” an adorably and comically spirited and chaotic animated motion picture featuring the voices of James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton, Hugh Laurie and Bill Nighy. You can also catch “The Descendants,” starring George Clooney and Shailene Woodley. Based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings, the comedy-drama is about a man reconnecting with his daughters while his wife lies in a coma. In “J. Edgar,” Leonardo DiCaprio gives an outstanding performance as legendary FBI director J.Edgar Hoover. His performance has already earned him a Golden Globe nomination for next year’s award show.

Other must-see movies showing this weekend include “Happy Feet Two,” “Immortals,” “Melancholia,” “Moneyball,” “The Muppets,” and the much buzzed-about “My Week with Marilyn.”
