Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is holding a biking event entitled Wild Ride on Friday, August 16 from 5:30 to 8:30pm. Due to popular demand (last year’s inaugural event was completely sold out), the Zoo decided to hold two separate events this years. The first installment was in May.
During Wild Ride, bike enthusiasts of all ages will get to cruise through the zoo after regular hours, so they can have the paths all to themselves. This is a chance for guests to experience the zoo and its many outdoor animal exhibits on two wheels instead of walking. Ride maps will be in place to point out bike routes for beginners, intermediate and experienced cyclists. Guests will also have the chance to meet the animal keepers.
Tickets for Wild Ride cost $12 each, with a $2 discount for members of the Cleveland Zoological Society. Each rider is required to sign a release form and riders under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a consent form. Wearing helmets is strongly encouraged.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is located at 3900 Wildlife Way. For more information on this event or other zoo activities, please visit clemetzoo.com.
